Miss Smith is a graduate of UTC for her Bachelor's and her Master's. She is a veteran of the Hamilton County School District where she worked 30 years, first as an English teacher and then as a counselor. She has worked with grades 6-12. Miss Smith's hobbies include traveling (and she has been to all 50 states and 20 countries thus far), reading, and spending time with her family, especially her niece and nephew.

| Mr. Chavis is a Native American from the Lumbee tribe of NC. He graduated from Lee University (B.A.), UTC-Chattanooga (M.Ed.), and Lincoln Memorial (M.Ed. &ED.S). He has worked in Hamilton County the last 11 years and two other systems prior. He has provided guidance and counseling to Elementary & High school students, with the later being the last 11 years. He is a Tennessee volunteers football fan and sometimes will pull for his boyhood UNC Tarheels during basketball season. He has one daughter, Emily Skye. He is excited about the trifecta of middle school, allowing him to provide guidance in all grade levels. Mr. Chavis is happy to be a WARRIOR....FEATHERS UP! |
