Dedication - Desire - Discipline
All student athletes must have a physical on file in our main office in order to try out and participate in any athletic program. Physicals must be on the new Georgia High School Association (GHSA) physical form. A physical form can be obtained from our office or printed from our school website and also can be found at the GHSA website. A physical is good for a year from the date obtained.
Once an athletic team is formed, the coach will distribute and collect the athletic paperwork. This packet must be completed and signed by both student athletes and parents/guardians. One set of paperwork is good for all athletic programs for that school year.
No Pass No play: Upcoming 6th graders are exempt from the No Pass No Play policy for their first semester of middle school. However, starting the second of 6th grade and throughout the rest of middle school, the No Pass No Play applies to student athletes. If a student fails 2 or more academic classes (Language Arts, Math Science, Social Studies), they are ineligible to participate in any athletics for the upcoming semester.
As an athletic department, we not only focus on athletic achievement but most importantly academic achievement for our student athletes.
In the process of teaching accountability and self-discipline the athletic department recognizes progress and achievement by our student athletes in various forms throughout the school year.
Feel free to contact the coach about a sport specific question. If you have any general questions about athletics you can contact Coach Williams by email ([email protected]) or cell number 423-315-3762.
