Cafeteria Proceedures

Students learn what constitutes a well-balanced meal by observing the many selections offered each day. Menus are planned according to the new meal regulations passed by Congress in the Healthy, Hunger-Free Kids Act of 2010.  The new guidelines include a choice of entrees, fruits, vegetables, grain, and milk.  A good resource for parents and children alike can be found at USDA's MyPlate website.  For more information on USDA's MyPlate, go to www.ChooseMyPlate.gov

Because the system is a participant in the National School Lunch Program, qualified students may receive the same meal at a free or reduced price. If household income changes during the school year, applications may be made immediately to receive meals at the lower rates. Interested parties should contact the Child Nutrition Department at 706-965-2414. All information is kept confidential.
