Athletics

Lakeview Middle School provides many opportunities for students to compete in athletics. Athletics enhance and advance educational opportunities for many students. Through sports, participants are given the chance to experience teamwork, discipline, sacrifice, commitment, communication, decision making, leadership, sportsmanship, and integrity. Our students are held to a high standard on and off of the field. 

Gender Equity in Sports

State law prohibits discrimination based on gender in athletic programs of local school systems (Equity in Sports Act O.C.G.A. 20-2-315). Students are hereby notified that Catoosa County Schools do not discriminate on the basis of gender in its athletic programs. The sports equity coordinator for this school system is, Dr. Lamar Brown, P.O. Box 130, Ringgold, GA 30736. 706-965-2297. Inquiries or complaints concerning sports equity in this school system may be submitted to the Sports Equity Coordinator.

No Pass No Play  

Upcoming 6th graders are exempt from the No Pass No Play policy for the 1st semester of middle school. However, starting the second semester of 6th grade year and throughout 7th and 8th grade, the No Pass No Play applies to student athletes. If a student fails 2 or more academic classes for a semester, they are ineligible to participate in any athletics for the upcoming semester.
