Meetings, Events, & Workshops
Title I meetings, events, and workshops provide our families with a powerful opportunity to actively shape and support their child’s education. By attending these sessions, families get an inside look at the school’s curriculum and state testing requirements, while taking home practical tools and strategies to make at-home learning easier and more effective. Beyond academic tips, these events give parents a direct voice in how federal funding is used for critical school resources, while building strong, supportive relationships with teachers, administrators, and other families. Meetings, events, and workshop topics are based on parent feedback obtained through our Title I Fall Survey. Research consistently shows that when parents participate in Title I events, students achieve higher grades, miss fewer days of school, and feel more confident in the classroom. Parent Advisory Council Meetings

In order to ensure effective involvement of parents and to support a partnership between the school, parents, and the community to improve student academic achievement, Title I schools are asked to establish a Parent Advisory Council (PAC). The PAC provides advice on all matters related to parental involvement programs and has final approval of the school's Parent & Family Engagement Policy. Participating in the Parent Advisory Council meetings provides families another opportunity to be involved in their child's education by giving them a voice in the decision making related to Title I policies and programs at our school. PAC meetings are held twice a year, in the fall and spring, in order to give parents an opportunity to provide their input on Title I policy, programs, compacts, budget, school improvement plan, and building teacher capacity.

All parents and guardians with students enrolled at LMS are invited to be PAC members. PAC members are asked to attend two meetings, one in the fall and one in the spring, in order to provide their input on Title I Parent & Family Engagement Policy, Title I programs, Family-School Compacts for Achievement, Title I budget, school improvement plan, and building teacher capacity at Ringgold Elementary School. Your input will guide school decisions.
If families are unable to attend a PAC meeting, additional opportunities are provided throughout the year to provide feedback. We welcome input at any time.

GA Standards (What is My Child Learning)
The Georgia Standards of Excellence (GSE) play a crucial role in enhancing K-12 education by providing clear expectations for student learning. These standards ensure that students acquire the necessary skills and knowledge to succeed academically while preparing them for future challenges. By focusing on essential subjects and incorporating innovative teaching methods, the GSE empowers educators to create engaging and effective learning environments that cater to diverse student needs and promote academic excellence.
Map Testing & Benchmarks
- The MAP Growth Assessment is a benchmark test for reading and math. This test is taken by our students three times a year, in the fall, winter, and spring.
- Tests are computer adaptive, meaning they adjust the level of the next question based on whether the student answers correctly or incorrectly. This allows for teachers to see the level at which students are able to work independently.
- Tests usually take approximately 40-60 minutes to complete.
Workshops

he Georgia Milestones Assessment System is a comprehensive assessment system spanning grades 3 through high school. Georgia Milestones measures how well students have learned the knowledge and skills outlined in the state-adopted content standards in English language arts, mathematics, science, and social studies.

The Infinite Campus Student Information Parent Portal is now available to you. From this informational website you will be able to monitor your student's:
- Access to student grades
- Review Attendance and Absences
- See Assignments Due or Upcoming Exams
- View Grades
- Receive notifications for School/District Announcements
- Read your student's schedule and reports
- View Lunchroom information regarding Cafeteria Balances and Fines
- Pay fees
To set up an initial Parent Portal account as a new user, please email icportalsupport@catoosa.k12.ga.us to request a one-time activation key. Current users that are experiencing login issues may also email icportalsupport@catoosa.k12.ga.us to request assistance with logging in. Please include the parent/guardian's legal name and the student's legal name in the email.
